When working from the office, anyone can check your physical cubie and see if you are available or not. But what about the virtual workspace? Software solutions like Microsoft Teams and Slack let you set status so your coworkers can know your availability. Here’s how you can change the status in Microsoft Teams.

Setting the availability status during working hours gives a clear idea for others to interact with you. The ability to change the status of Microsoft Teams is available on both desktop and mobile. We will cover them by post. But first, we’ll start with the Microsoft Teams Windows and Mac apps.

Microsoft Teams desktop app

It’s pretty easy to change status in Microsoft Teams. Follow the steps below to learn how to change status in Microsoft Teams and what options are available to be used as Teams status.

Step 1: Open Microsoft Teams on Windows or Mac.

2nd step: Click on the Account menu in the upper right corner.

Step 3: You will see your name along with your profile picture. Take a look below and check your current status.

Step 4: Click on your current status and it will open a context menu to change the status of teams. Let’s check them in detail.

Available: Indicated as a green check mark, this is the default status for teams when you log into the app. The Available status means the person is not in a meeting or on a call and the desktop app is active at the moment. After you switch to a mobile app or keep the device in sleep mode, the status changes to Away in Teams.

Busy: As soon as you’re busy on a call or meeting, Teams will go into Busy state with a red circle. You will still receive notifications if someone sends you a message.

Do not disturb: Be careful when using the Do Not Disturb status in Teams. For once, Microsoft will never change status automatically when you’re in DND mode. It will block all messages and notifications until you change the MDN status in Teams.

I’ll be right back: Displayed as a yellow mark, Be Back suggests that you are temporarily away from your desk and should be available to respond in a few minutes.

Appear away: Appearing out of the way means you’re not actively focused on the Teams app. Maybe the app is open in the background and you are busy doing other things on your computer. You will continue to receive messages.

This is useful when you are researching or giving a presentation and don’t want your coworkers to bother you during those hours.

Appear offline: If you are not signed in to the Teams app on the desktop, the app will show the status Appear offline. This indicates that you are not working at the moment. You will receive all team messages during this period.

Now that you know what each Teams status is, you can select a relevant status based on your condition and preferences.

Microsoft has added teams mobile app cool feature that automates your status in Teams software. Here is how you can use it.

Step 1: Open the Teams app on Windows or Mac, click on the Profile menu at the top.

2nd step: Click on your current status and select Duration.

Step 3: Select the status and set the duration of the status.

Maybe you are not available for a week. You can select Do not disturb and set This week of Reset state after menu. Or maybe you’re away for an hour for lunch. Use the Duration menu and automate the status.

After the time has elapsed, Teams will reset the status to Available.

2021 All-Shore boys soccer teams

For the first time in two years, there was a normal high school boys soccer season in New Jersey. A typical schedule and full postseason were finally played after the COVID-19 pandemic truncated the 2020 season.

There were massive moments and history-makers. Out of all the players in the Shore Conference, here are the best 24.

Below are the All-Shore first and second teams.

Final Shore Conference rankings: CBA finishes the season as No. 1

FIRST TEAM

HERMAN COLBERT

School: Freehold Township

Year: Senior

Position: Forward

In his first season as Freehold Township's primary offensive weapon, Colbert shined. The senior led the team with 16 goals and 14 assists. He was particularly clutch during the postseason. He netted six goals and assisted one other goal during the Patriots' sectional tournament run, leading them to their first appearance in the state final since 1982. His biggest performance was a hat trick, one-assist game against Hillsborough in the Central Group 4 first round.

DYLAN CUPO

School: CBA

Year: Senior

Position: Forward

Named the Monmouth County Player of the Year by the Shore Conference coaches this fall, Cupo was a dangerous striker. Standing at six-foot-three, Cupo was a menacing presence at the top of CBA's formation. Cupo led the team with 21 goals and also added five assists. He tallied one goal and one assist in a Shore Conference Tournament final victory and scored twice against Notre Dame to lead the Colts to a Non-Public South A crown. Cupo finished his career with 31 goals and seven assists.

ALEC PENTIKIS

School: Rumson-Fair Haven

Year: Junior

Position: Forward

The only junior on the first team, Pentikis had his best season to date through three stellar years. Pentikis led the Bulldogs with 16 goals and also assisted four goals. He also scored the biggest goal in program history. In overtime of the Central Group 2 final against Holmdel, Pentikis netted the golden goal to lead Rumson-Fair Haven to its first ever sectional title.

AIDAN TISONY

School: Ocean Township

Year: Senior

Position: Forward

Tisony had a historic season for Ocean Township. The senior set a new single season program record in scoring with 60 total points. He tallied 25 goals and 10 assists and posted nine multi-goal games, including three hat tricks. Tisony finished his high school career with 43 goals and 21 assists. He is a Seton Hall commit.

BRENDAN WOROBEL

School: Holmdel

Year: Senior

Position: Forward

Following in the footsteps of some of the great Holmdel scorers over the last decade, Worobel exploded onto the scene in his first season as the team's top threat. He led the Hornets with 18 goals and assisted four other goals. Through his first five games of the season, Worobel already had scored nine goals.

MATTIA ASSANTE

School: Toms River North

Year: Senior

Position: Midfield

It's difficult to quantify Assante's value to Toms River North. His three goals and five assists don't begin to scratch the surface of how talented Assante is. Named the Co-Ocean County Player of the Year by the Shore Conference coaches, Assante controlled everything from end to end for a team that advanced to the Shore Conference Tournament final and captured its third consecutive sectional title.

JAMES CAHILL

School: Pinelands

Year: Senior

Position: Midfield/Forward

More of a defensive player last year, Cahill blossomed as a terrific playmaker this fall. Cahill led Pinelands with 25 goals and 14 assists. He posted four hat tricks and seven overall multi-goal games.

JOHNNY TROIANO

School: St. John Vianney

Year: Senior

Position: Midfield/Forward

Troiano was always poised for a huge offensive onslaught, and it finally arrived in 2021. The senior was amongst the Shore Conference's leading scorers with 23 goals and three assists. His biggest performance was a four-goal game against Red Bank Catholic in September. He finished his career with 43 goals and 18 assists. Troiano is a Rowan commit.

KODY BESSER

School: Lacey

Year: Senior

Position: Defense/Midfield

It can be argued that Besser is the best center back in the Shore Conference. Besser's terrific play on the backline led a unit that allowed only 15 goals this season – tied for the second lowest mark in the Shore Conference. The six-foot-two Besser also played up in the formation at times this year and tallied six goals and five assists.

DAVENSON JOINVILMAR

School: Long Branch

Year: Senior

Position: Defense

A transfer from Asbury Park, Joinvilmar made his presence felt in his lone season with Long Branch. Along with Lacey's Kody Besser, Joinvilmar is in the conversation of top center backs in the Shore Conference. His great athleticism and strength on the back line held opponents to just 20 goals all season long.

DECLAN KELLY

School: CBA

Year: Senior

Position: Defense

Strong defensive units have been the cornerstone of CBA's success over the last two decades, and Kelly was the next great defensive ace for the Colts. His terrific play on the back line held opponents to 20 goals as CBA captured the Shore Conference Tournament and Non-Public South A crowns.

TOMMY CHYZOWYCH

School: Holmdel

Year: Senior

Position: Goalkeeper

A Lehigh commit, Chyzowych was the top goalkeeper in the Shore Conference this fall. The six-foot-four Chyzowych was a brick wall in net for Holmdel, posting 10 shutouts as the Hornets allowed just 15 goals. Chyzowych's biggest moment occurred against Wall in the Central Group 2 quarterfinals can i embed a youtube video in a powerpoint he made two saves during the penalty kick shootout and converted the game-clinching kick.

SECOND TEAM

Jared Brown, Toms River North, Senior, Forward

Stephen DeMilio, Pinelands, Senior, Forward

AJ Emnace, Toms River North, Senior Forward

Kajus Matazinskas, Toms River East, Junior, Forward

Gianni Smith, Central, Senior, Forward

Emmett Aravich, Wall, Senior, Midfield

College basketball: Five teams in the race for No. 1

ByKevin Flaherty

Both the Associated Press Top 25 Poll and the Coaches Poll will be released Monday, with a new No. 1 team likely to top both of them. But will it be the right No. 1?

The answer to that question lies in how one interprets the task at hand. More than one team has a legitimate argument or claim to the top spot, and while the votes Monday are likely to be largely split between two teams, there's another that could pick up a vote and even a fourth that wouldn't necessarily surprise. We looked at the arguments for each of those four teams to occupy the polls' top spot coming out of Feast Week and even added a fifth team that likely should be getting No. 1 consideration based on what said team has done so far this year, but isn't likely to get that honor ... at least not yet.

Get the fastest scores, stats, news, LIVE videos, and more. CLICK HERE to download the CBS Sports Mobile App and get the latest on your team today.

Here are five teams in the race for the No. 1 spot in the polls at this point, and the argument supporting each one as top dog.

The argument: The undefeated team that beat No. 1 should take its place. This may be the simplest argument to make, and the Blue Devils are likely to collect the most first-place votes when the Associated Press Top 25 Poll is released on Monday. It won’t be unanimous: we expect at least three teams to collect at least one first-place vote, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see a fourth even sneak a vote in. We’ll get to those others below. But Duke’s case remains a strong one. The Blue Devils are undefeated and may have college basketball’s best résumé, defeating both previous No. 1 Gonzaga and another top 10 team in last week’s poll in Kentucky, both on neutral courts. Only one other team has two wins over teams ranked in the top 10 of last week’s poll … the Gonzaga team that Duke just defeated.

In that game, the Blue Devils certainly looked worthy of capturing the No. 1 mantle. Paolo Banchero may be the frontrunner to go No. 1 overall, and he played the part well in the first half. But Mark Williams also looked like one of the nation’s best centers and may have been the overall best player on the court. And all Wendell Moore did was score (20 points), rebound (six boards), distribute (six assists) and play defense (four steals). Trevor Keels hasn’t quite re-found the mojo he showed in Duke’s victory over Kentucky; he scored six points and shot 2-for-11 and 1-for-4 from the free throw line against Gonzaga. But the talent level is still there, and he’s found a way to become involved as a distributor as well. And while Jeremy Roach generally struggled, he scored five of his nine points in the final few minutes as Duke seized the game. Theo John would start at center for a number of teams, and did start at Marquette last year. And we still haven’t gotten to AJ Griffin, a five-star freshman who has earned some potential lottery pick buzz but has been battling injuries. He played 11 minutes against Gonzaga, but if the two match up again in March, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him play a major role.

The point is this: Duke is deserving, passes the eye test and matched up with the previous No. 1 team on a neutral court, leaving with a victory. There isn’t much need to overthink the Blue Devils’ position.

The argument: Easy enough, move ‘em up. The way the polls typically work is like this: when No. 1 loses, No. 2 moves up. When No. 2 loses, No. 3 moves up. And so on and so forth. It doesn’t require a magnum opus to explain: the previous week, the voters felt this team was the best behind that other team. So if the other team moves down, it makes sense to move the next best team up. In this case, the AP’s Nos. 1 (Gonzaga) and 2 (UCLA) both lost in the past week. The Coaches’ Poll saw Nos. 1, 2 and 3 (Kansas) all lose. Purdue was No. 3 in the Associated Press and No. 4 in the Coaches. And the Boilermakers certainly didn’t lose; in their lone game this past week, Purdue blasted Nebraska Omaha by 57 points.

There’s a reason for doing this. Did Duke do more this past week than Purdue? Of course. Purdue’s only game this past week came against a team ranked in KenPom’s 300s.

But Purdue, which has been ranked ahead of Duke in every poll so far, had its big week the week before, when the Boilermakers took out North Carolina and Villanova — both ranked teams at the time — on back-to-back nights. So if the voters felt Purdue was the better team before and the Boilermakers’ lone action was a 57-point win, should Purdue really get jumped when the Boilermakers took care of business themselves to that degree? The answer for some will be yes. But that won’t be the answer for everyone. The eye test says that Purdue is special; the Boilermakers are leading the nation in raw points per possession. Center Trevion Williams was a top 10 player in KenPom’s National Player of the Year formula last year. He comes off the bench for the Boilermakers now, and his replacement, sophomore Zach Edey, ranks No. 4 in KenPom’s formula this year. Guard Jaden Ivey isn’t just a potential lottery pick, he’s getting possible top five pick type of love. And with Matt Painter’s offense humming and shooters around that kind of guard/center duo (in this case a trio), it’s going to take a lot to beat this team.

And good luck stopping them: Purdue ranks fourth nationally in 2-point field goal percentage, and fifth in 3-point field goal percentage. And even when the Boilermakers aren’t setting fire to the nets, they’re grabbing 41.3% of their misses, which also ranks fourth in the nation.

The argument: The metrics. OK, don’t throw anything at your screen just yet. Expect Gonzaga to pick up at least one first-place vote in Monday’s Associated Press Poll from an analytics-driven voter. Even after losing to Duke, Gonzaga remains No. 1 on KenPom and BartTorvik, and by a pretty significant margin. It’s worth noting that both formulas are still including preseason projections in there, so it’s not entirely based on 2021-22 output. At the same time, those have typically proven to provide pretty accurate indicators, and Gonzaga’s numbers have only gone up this season, not down, as a result of the Bulldogs’ overall dominance so far this year.

I get the argument: results should matter. But an analytics-savvy person would add that in analytics, *all* the results matter. Losing to Duke by three matters, sure. But so does beating Bellarmine by 42 or Central Michigan by 53. You’re not just cherry-picking a couple high profile games and using those to make a case, though certainly Gonzaga was brilliant against Texas and UCLA in other games against then-top-10 teams. Is a one-basket loss to a top team on a neutral court — a margin that can be drawn up to a bounce here or there — really enough to say that Gonzaga isn’t the best team in the country? Remember that Gonzaga led Duke heading into the final five minutes in a game with a number of lead changes. So while Duke, which led Gonzaga by one point heading into the final minute, might have won that minute, adding up all the season’s minutes indicates Gonzaga might still be the best team.

The argument: As D’Angelo Barksdale says while explaining chess on The Wire, “The king stay the king.” In college basketball parlance: you’re the champ until somebody else knocks you off. And despite Baylor losing arguably its top four players from a year ago, Scott Drew’s bunch hasn’t lost since last year’s Big 12 Tournament, when his team was still working its way back from a COVID-19 break-inspired rust. This year’s Bears haven’t really been tested. Their 7-0 record includes four wins over teams in KenPom’s top 100, and all but one have been separated by at least 12 points. In the Bears’ biggest game against Michigan State at the Battle 4 Atlantis championship game, Baylor put together a patented run that left the Spartans — who had been playing better of late — in the dust, with the Bears leaving the court with a 17-point victory.

Look, this is a different team than the one that won last year’s national championship. Flo Thamba is the lone returning starter, while last year’s key reserves Adam Flagler and Matthew Mayer have now moved into the starting lineup. Jonathan Tchamwa Tchatchoua is reprising his role as energy big off the bench (but doing an even better job of it). LJ Cryer couldn’t break through last year’s crowded backcourt but now looks like a future Baylor great at guard, and MaCio Teague has been replaced by five-star jumping jack Kendall Brown, who adds an long, athletic wing that the Bears quite frankly didn’t have last year. Add in the impact from two other newcomers in transfer James Akinjo and freshman Jeremy Sochan, and this is a deep and athletic group that can play elite defense and crush teams in transition. And while we’ll find out more about the Bears in a couple weeks when Villanova visits in a rematch from last year’s Sweet 16, it’s still worth pointing out that the school that ended last year No. 1 still hasn’t lost.

The argument: Dominance and upside. Look, the Wildcats probably aren’t going to collect any first-place votes on Monday. And that’s OK. But with the exception of a weird overtime win against Wichita State — one where Arizona shot a ghastly 5-for-27 — that’s 18.5% — from behind the 3-point line — few teams across the country have been as dominant as the 6-0 Wildcats. First-year coach Tommy Lloyd has a terrific frontcourt, multiple NBA prospects and an excellent passing team. The Wildcats lead the nation by assisting on an incredible 73.8% of their baskets. And it’s not like they’ve only been beating up on poor teams. Wichita State is just outside KenPom’s top 50 and is 5-0 when not playing Arizona. And the Wildcats absolutely mashed Michigan on a neutral court, never trailing by more than four points and winning by 18.

The Wildcats are climbing on the advanced stats boards despite starting in a lower position because of lower preseason projections. Arizona is the only team in the country sitting in the top 10 on both offense and defense in raw points per possession (according to KenPom), scoring 119.6 points per 100 possessions and allowing 74.8. That 44.8 gap is second in the country to Texas Tech which 1) is barely higher at 44.9 and 2) isn’t exactly apples to apples as the Red Raiders haven’t played a single team in KenPom’s top 240. Arizona has played three teams (half Arizona’s schedule) ranked higher than the best team Texas Tech has played, and is still achieving almost the exact same level of dominance.

For comparison’s sake, Gonzaga is at 36.1 and Duke is at 29.1.

The point is simply that leaving out where people thought Arizona would be this season, the Wildcats are significantly closer to the elite of the elite based on what Arizona has actually put on the court.

Microsoft has added another cool feature that automates your status in Teams software.

Chyzowych's biggest moment occurred against Wall in the Central Group 2 quarterfinals when he made two saves during the penalty kick shootout and converted the game-clinching kick.

SECOND TEAM

Jared Brown, Toms River North, Senior, Forward

Stephen DeMilio, Pinelands, Senior, Forward

AJ Emnace, Toms River North, Senior Forward

Kajus Matazinskas, Toms River East, Junior, Forward

Gianni Smith, Central, Senior, Forward

Josh Hocheiser, Freehold Township, Senior, Midfield

Luke Pentikis, Rumson-Fair Haven, Senior, Midfield
