How to Apply for a Chase Business Credit Card

You want to get a new credit card, but the one you want is a business credit card from Chase, and you're unsure of how to apply for a Chase business credit card.

Business credit cards function much in the same way as personal credit cards do, and Chase offers some of the best business credit cards out there with their Chase Ink business line, especially if you're looking for rewards. However, there are some key differences when it comes to qualifying and applying. Here we'll touch on the specifics of the best Chase credit cards, how to qualify for a business credit card, and then walk you through how to apply for a Chase business credit card.

What you need to know about Chase business credit cards and the 5/24 rule

If you want to apply for a Chase business credit card, you need to know about theChase 5/24 rule. This rule says you can't be approved for a Chase credit card if you've opened five or more credit cards in the past 24 months. Even its business credit cards are subject to this rule, so if you have opened more than four accounts within the past two years, you'll have to wait before you can apply.

The good news is that while Chase's business credit cards are subject to the 5/24 rule, they don't add to it. That is to say, if you apply for a Chase business credit card, it won't count toward your 5/24 limit. That's because Chase reports business credit cards to commercial rather than consumer credit bureaus -- in other words, they don't show up on your personal credit report.

Can anyone apply for a Chase business credit card?

If you're hoping to apply for a Chase business credit card, the requirements are much less strict than you'd think. You do have to have an eligible business, but there's a good chance that you're already partaking in a profit-generating activity that could count as a business. This is the case with most credit card companies. Anything from hobbies to side hustles can qualify, such as these common gigs.

  • Driving for Uber or Lyft
  • Selling things on Etsy
  • Reselling items on eBay
  • Selling things at craft fairs, farmers' markets, or flea markets
  • Freelancing
  • Airbnb rentals
  • Doing nails or hair out of your home
  • Flipping used furniture
  • Babysitting and tutoring

In fact, you don't have to have actually started your profit-generating activity yet to apply for a Chase business credit card, as long as you genuinely intend to start soon. Getting a business credit card now is a great way to plan ahead. Just remember, never lie on a credit card application; you may be asked to verify any information you provide.

Why you should apply for a Chase business credit card

Business credit cards are a great way to separate out your finances, whether you're running a full-scale business with employees or simply selling stuff on eBay as a side gig. You can do this with a business checking account and debit card as well, but using a business credit card can help you build business credit and avoid monthly maintenance fees. The fact that business credit cards don't show up on your personal credit history is a plus, and building your business credit will prove useful if you ever want to take out a small business loan or get business insurance. This is reason alone to apply for a Chase business credit card.

On top of that, Chase business credit cards are particularly desirable as rewards credit cards when compared to other credit card companies. First of all, a Chase business card will have business-related bonus spending categories that offer extra rewards. If your company or side gig means you spend a lot on expenses like transportation, dining out with clients, internet and phone bills, or printing and advertising services, you could apply for a Chase business credit card and accumulate rewards much faster. When compared to Chase's personal credit cards, its business credit cards also offer some of the most high-value sign-up bonuses for the same, or even no, annual fee.

How to apply for a Chase business credit card

Applications for a Chase business card are pretty simple, but there are some areas where people get confused. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to apply for a Chase business credit card.

Business information

When you apply for a Chase business credit card, the first page will ask for basic information about your business such as a name, mailing address, and annual revenue. If you are a freelancer or someone with a side gig with no employees, you are considered a sole proprietor, which is what you'll put under "Type of Business." You'd also put "1" under the "Number of Employees" field, which would be you.

You can use your own name as your business name and your personal mailing address. You'll need to estimate your annual business revenue here, and this can be projected revenue for the upcoming year, so estimate on the high side. Don't worry if you're not making much. The bank will also consider your personal income.

Under "tax identification number," you can put your EIN (Employer Identification Number) if you have one, or you can simply use your own Social Security number.

Personal information

The following page will ask for your personal information, much like a regular credit card application. As a sole proprietor, you'll identify as the "Owner" under the "Authorizing Officer" field. You'll need to provide your name, home address, and gross annual income. Your gross annual income can include income from your job, from your business, and from your spouse.

The following page will ask for your phone number (business and personal can be the same), your email address, date of birth, Social Security number, and mother's maiden name.

Employee cards

Finally, the final page when you apply for a Chase business credit card will give you the option to add employee cards. You don't have to do this, but if you do have someone trustworthy who might purchase things for your business on occasion, employee cards are a great way to help you meet your minimum spending limit for the sign-up bonus. Make sure you trust the cardholders, though, because you're on the hook for any charges they make.

Waiting for approval

Once you submit the final page, you'll receive a page that either tells you that you were approved, denied, or your application is being processed. The last option is the most likely. In this case, you will likely receive a decision within a week, although the stated wait period is 30 days. You might be contacted and asked to provide more information about your business during this time. You can also call Chase's automated status line at 1-800-432-3117 at any time to check on the progress of your application.

How to get approved for a Chase business credit card

There's no way to guarantee approval when you apply for a Chase business credit card, but there are some things you can do to improve your chances. Here are some tips.

Increase your credit score: Your credit score should be at least 680 when you apply for a Chase business credit card, but having a score of 720 or higher will give you the best chances.

Decrease your credit limit with Chase: Chase doesn't like to extend too much credit to any one customer as compared to their income, and it's very common to be denied because you already have large credit limits. In general, your overall credit limit with Chase across all of your personal and business credit cards shouldn't exceed 50% of your income or $75,000. If you're coming close to either of those limits, ask for a credit limit decrease on one of your existing Chase credit cards before applying for a Chase business card.

Space out your credit card applications: Chase doesn't like to see lots of recent inquiries. Aside from not going over 5/24, you also won't be approved if you've opened a Chase credit card in the past 30 days. If you've opened up four or five Chase credit cards in the past six months, it's best to wait a while before you apply for a Chase business credit card.

Apply in-branch: People who apply for a Chase business credit card in-branch rather than online tend to have a better shot at approval, and they also tend to receive bigger sign-up offers. If you have a branch near you, it's worth going in and applying in person.

Wait until you've been in business longer: While you don't have to have a 10-year-old business generating six figures to be approved for a Chase business credit card, rejection is common for people who have been in business for a short period of time and have low revenue. People who have been in business for at least two years and generate at least $2,000 in revenue have a better chance of approval.

What to do if you're denied for a Chase business credit card

If you're denied when you apply for a Chase business credit card, there is still hope. You can call its reconsideration line at 1-888-270-2127 to speak with someone about your application. Often, Chase just needs a little more information about your business or wants to verify something in order to approve you. Below are some common questions a representative may ask you.

  • What type of business are you running?
  • How many years has your business been in operation?
  • Why do you want a business credit card?
  • What type of expenses will you be putting on this credit card?
  • How much revenue did your business generate last year?
  • How do you market your business?

Upon answering these questions, you may find that Chase reverses its decision and approves you for a new Chase business credit card. It may also still deny you, but you'll be given a reason so that you can improve your chances of approval next time.

What Chase Business Credit Cards Are Missing

Chase business credit cards have great introductory rewards with an assortment of useful perks, but they lack a few things. This provider is missing cards for businesses with fair credit. Except for one card, Chase cards don’t offer top ongoing rewards, and they typically require good to excellent credit for approval. Unlike Bank of America, Chase doesn’t have low-interest cards for cheaper financing on carried balances.

Chase Business Credit Card Reviews From Users

We searched online to get user feedback on Chase business credit cards. Overall feedback for this issuer was positive. Most users enjoy the introductory rewards that this provider offers. Some users feel ongoing APRs are high and complained that the ongoing rewards rates could be higher.

Choosing the Right Chase Business Credit Card

Chase Bank offers a variety of business credit cards that offer cash back rewards, travel rewards, no-interest financing, and cards with no annual fee. Understanding which card is right for you will be based on your business’s needs. Chase cards offer some of the top intro rewards and some of the most popular perks like TSA Pre✓ ® reimbursement.

The types of Chase business credit cards available to business owners are:

  • Cash back rewards credit cards: Businesses can earn rewards in the form of cash back to save money on expenses. Most cash back cards offer between 1% and 2% on everyday purchases. The top cash back rewards cards offer up to 5% on category spending. Chase offers one card with top category cash back rewards.
  • Travel rewards credit cards: Owners can earn rewards that can be redeemed for travel expenses, including hotels, car rentals, and airfare. The best travel rewards cards typically offer up to 5x points and more. Chase’s highest-earning card falls short at just 3x points for selected purchases.
  • No-interest credit cards: Owners can make purchases on the card without incurring interest for a preset introductory period. The best no-interest business credit cards offer 0% APR for up to 15 months. Chase offers two credit cards that charge no interest on purchases for 12 months.
  • No-annual-fee credit cards: Businesses can finance expenses without an annual fee. It’s common for rewards cards to have an annual fee, but Chase offers two no-annual-fee business credit cards.

Chase business credit cards are best for businesses looking to earn decent ongoing rewards with high introductory bonuses and low annual fees. Getting the right card for your business will depend on your needs and the category that your company spends the most. If your business spends a lot on gas and business supplies, you can save money by having a rewards card that offers top points in those categories.

Alternatives to Chase Business Credit Cards

When it comes to introductory rewards, there are just a few providers that offer excellent rewards upon signup. American Express business credit cards typically have higher ongoing rewards rates and excellent introductory bonuses. However, these cards tend to have much higher annual fees than other business cards. So, if annual fees aren’t an issue for you, we recommend American Express business credit cards as an alternative.

Bottom Line

Chase Bank offers a variety of rewards cards with some of the top introductory bonuses for cash back and travel cards. Although their ongoing rewards are below the best, the additional perks for their co-branded cards are top rated. Depending on your needs, you can decide if a Chase Ink credit card or co-branded card is best for you.

Want A Business Credit Card? Here’s How To Prove You’re A Real Business

Signing up for credit cards and getting the sign-up bonuses is one of the easiest ways to earn a nice stack of points and miles with very little effort. As long as you have good credit and can pay off your bills in full, this is a great place to start. You’ll soon see that besides all of the personal credit cards available, there are almost as many business credit cards. You’ll have twice as many bonuses to choose from. That is if you have a business.

There’s no shortage of websites that tell you the many ways you can have a business. It all sounds so easy and apparently, everyone has a business and can apply for a business credit card. Here are some examples I’ve seen:

  • Do you sell anything?
  • Do you provide any services you get paid for?
  • Do you rent a property?
  • Do you have a side job?
  • Do you run a lemonade stand?
  • Do you sell brownies at the local market?

Congratulations, you’re a business. Now go and sign up for a business card with this referral link!!!

Sometimes it might be that easy. However, other times it’s not. During COVID, several banks cracked down on business cards for sole proprietorships. Things are a bit better now but we’re not back to where anyone can get a card. Even before everything happened, I had to prove to Chase that I run a real business. It’s not as easy as it sounds.

Sharon’s been able to get a business card from Chase for years. For her, it was easy because she was a contract employee and received a 1099 form for her income.

For me, it wasn’t as easy. Several years ago, I tried to get a business card from Chase for a previous endeavor. I was just starting out and had nothing to prove I was real, aside from a website that wasn’t finished. However, I had expenses and wanted to keep them separate, so I applied for a business card. Chase’s response at the time was “Come back when you have something real you can show us.” Ouch.

I kind of blew Chase off after that. If they didn’t want my business, I didn’t want to give business to them. Times change and now I have a real business. I have expenses and I even have income that I can prove.

I dusted myself off, hitched up my pants and pulled up the Chase website to apply for the Chase Ink Preferred business credit card which currently has a 100,000 Ultimate Reward points sign-up bonus.

There are plenty of websites to guide you through the process of how to apply for a business credit card. I used this one from One Mile at a Time, as it was specific to Chase. I saw in the article where it said you “can” use your name as the business name, but I chose to apply with the actual name of the business. That probably caused my headache of getting approved.

I was hoping for instant approval, but that didn’t happen. Instead, I was told that I would hear from them via mail in the next 30 days.

Ink-Business-Preferred-Application.png

The first round of waiting begins

There was nothing I could do at this point but wait. While searching, I even found a diagram that tells you (supposedly) what each message from Chase means and what you should do next (it might be out of date but shows how confusing the approval process can be.). Instead of going that route, I just waited for the mail to arrive, hoping it would be a card and not a denial.

What I received was neither of those two.

YMMV Chase documents

Chase wanted me to prove the business was real. I took the next step and called them.

Calling Chase

I’ve heard horror stories about people being interrogated by Chase Small Business phone reps about their businesses. Requests for business plans, budgeted future expenditures, forecasted expenses were all things that have been asked for. I hoped that wasn’t the case. However, I didn’t have anything they wanted like government ID, insurance or utility bills. Since Sharon and I are the only “employees,” all the expenses and bills are in our names. I figured all they could do at this point was say no. I was invested this far so I might as well keep going.

I called the number on the letter and talked with a representative. I explained that I knew they were asking for but I didn’t have that type of documents and gave the reasons why. She then said, in a rather condescending tone, “In that case, the only other thing we can accept is a Tax ID number and a Fictitious Name Registration letter.” I replied “Great, how can I send them to you.” She told me that I could bring the documents to a local Chase branch Small Business desk and they’d attach it to the application. I told her that I’d bring the documents as soon as I could.

Getting the Documentation

I have a Tax ID number from a previous business. Per the IRS website, when starting a new business as a sole proprietor, you do not need to get a new Tax ID, so that requirement was complete. The Fictitious Name paperwork was a different story. I’d never gotten around to filing one with the state for Your Mileage May Vary. This was a perfect time to get off my backside and become official.

To file for a Fictitious Name Registration in Florida, you need to go to this website: https://efile.sunbiz.org/ficregintro.html

Filing the form costs $50 and the registration is good for five years.

Getting the Documents to Chase

Now that I had the documents that Chase requested, I headed to my local branch. After signing in and waiting to be helped by the business account associate, I explained the only reason I was there was to provide documentation for my application. She looked up my case number and headed to the back with my papers. About 10 minutes later, she came back. I was all set. All told, I was there for about 30 minutes.

The second round of waiting begins

All I could do again was wait. After a few days, I got antsy and called the number from the letter to see if they had any more questions. The rep looked up my case and told me that they had no record of the paperwork I brought to the branch.

Me: I took the paperwork four days ago
Rep: You see, there’s a system where the branches can scan the paperwork directly to your file
Me: So why don’t you see it?
Rep: Well some branches don’t use that system and fax the paperwork instead. We get thousands of faxes a day so it can take a week or two before it gets sorted to your case
Me: What can I do to expedite this?
Rep: Bring the papers back to the branch and tell them to scan them and not to fax them.
Me: I’m not available when the branch is open for several more days. Is there any way I can send the papers to you?
Rep: You can fax them to us.
Me: I thought you said it can take weeks to sort the faxes.
Rep: Yes
Me: I don’t have access to a fax machine
Rep: Can you email them to us?
Me: Of course I can.
Rep: OK, here’s the email. But be aware that it still can take several days to a week for us to review the documents.

Really. Really? After all of this back and forth, I could have just scanned and emailed the supporting documents. I asked for the correct email and thanked him for his time. I immediately scanned and sent the documents to Chase.

The Third Round of Waiting

This time I wasn’t waiting around. I called the Chase automated application line at 888-338-2586 to check on my card status. For the first couple of days, I received the same message that my application was under review and to wait for a letter.

Then one day I received a different message, Your application has been approved. It took about a week longer before I received the envelope in the mail.

I haven’t been so excited to get a card in a long time. It wasn’t even made of metal.

IMG_6008

It’s not a fancy card but there are some categories I can use it for like cell phone and internet services. Online advertising is also a bonus category, which is helpful to get to get the word out about how great Your Mileage May Vary is. The card does have amazing coverage for cell phonesas long as you pay for your bill with the card.

Final Thoughts

I did really want to get this card. I wanted to see if I could prove to Chase that I was a real business. I also wanted to prove to them that they were wrong not giving me a card the first time. The other reason I went through all of this was to see what the process was like. Hopefully, after reading this you’ll know that it is possible to go through the steps and provide the paperwork that the banks require if you’re running a legitimate business. I also did this to warn those who listen to websites that say “Everything is a business.” While that may be true, it just might not be a business that a bank is willing to lend money to.

Ink Business Credit Card Bonuses: Earn $750 or 100,000 in November

I’ve been writing about credit cards since 2008, and in that time I’ve looked at hundreds, if not thousands of different cards. But I also use travel rewards credit cards to earn a dozen or more free trips each year, and small business credit cards are a key part of my award travel strategy.

When it comes to travel rewards, I’d argue that Chase is the leading credit card issuer. It offers a broad variety of cards that help consumers earn points through its Ultimate Rewards program. And Chase keeps adding to its portfolio of small business cards that you can use to increase the rewards you earn. Chase currently offers three small business credit cards that earn points in the Ultimate Rewards program, and each is uniquely valuable. Let’s take a look at all three of them, and then find out which one (or more) is right for you.

How to Choose the Best Chase Ink Business Card for Your Needs

If you’re going to earn Chase Ultimate Rewards points, then you need to have at least one card that allows you to transfer them to airline miles or hotel points. So if you already have a Chase Sapphire Preferred® Credit Card or Chase Sapphire Reserve® or an Ink Business Preferred, you’ll be able to get all of the benefits of the Ink Business Cash. If you don’t, then the Ink Business Unlimited should be where you start. You’ll get the best sign-up bonus, and you’ll be able to immediately transfer your rewards to airline miles or hotel points. This card is also perfect for those who will spend heavily in the 3x earning categories of travel, shipping, telecommunications and online advertising.

Those who spend heavily at office supply stores and on telecommunication services won’t be able to beat the Ink Business Cash card’s 5x offer. Otherwise, small business owners can consider the Business Unlimited with the opportunity to simply earn 1.5x on all purchases, with no limits. Alternatively, it can make sense to get the Ink Business Unlimited to complement another card, and use it for purchases that won’t qualify for a bonus. That’s always been my strategy.

Bottom Line: Ink Business Credit Cards Review

You can’t go wrong with any of these three cards, but there’s a way to make sure you get it right. First, be sure to have a card that allows point transfers, whether or not it’s an Ink card. But then, choose the card or cards that will offer you the most valuable rewards for your small business spending. By playing your cards correctly, you’ll earn far more rewards than you might have thought possible.

When you apply for a Chase business credit card, the first page everbank subsidiaries ask for basic information about your business such as a name, mailing address, and annual revenue.

The following page will ask chase business credit card requirements your personal information, much like a regular credit card application.

If they didn’t want my business, I didn’t want to give business 5th third bank customer service phone number them.

I was invested this far so I chase business credit card requirements as well keep going.

After signing in and waiting to be helped by the www walmart money card customer service account associate, I explained the only reason I was there was to provide documentation for my application.

Chase positive pay OK, here’s the email.

IMG_6006

IMG_6007

Chase has a long line-up of great business credit cards so naturally many people will want to go for more than one Chase business card. But is that possible or will Chase deny you for trying? This article will look at whether or not it’s possible to get approved for multiple Chase business credit cards and give you some tips for giving it a shot.

Can you get approved for multiple Chase business credit cards?

Yes, it is possible to get approved for multiple Chase business credit cards but there are a few things that you need be aware of if you’re going to apply for multiple business cards.

Should you get more than one Chase card?

Just because you can get more than one Chase card, that doesn’t mean that you should do that. But Chase has some really great business cards so for a lot of people, getting more than one Chase business card will make a lot of sense.

If I were seeking out multiple business cards here are the four business credit cards that I would consider.

Tip: Check out the free app WalletFlo so that you can optimize your credit card spend by seeing the best card to use! You can also track credits, annual fees, and get notifications when you’re eligible for the best cards!

Chase Ink Preferred

The Chase Ink Preferredoften has a high welcome bonus and also earns 3X per $1 on the first $150,000 spent in combined purchases on all of the following categories:

  • Travel, including airfare, hotels, rental cars, train tickets and taxis
  • Shipping purchases
  • Advertising purchases made with social media sites and search engines
  • Internet, cable and phone services

With its high bonus and solid bonus categories, this is the #1 business card offered by Chase and I would be looking to get the Chase Ink Preferred first and then add one of the cards below.

Chase Ink Business Cash

The Chase Ink Business Cash also often comes with a great sign-up bonus of 50,000 Ultimate Rewards or more. That’s worth $500+ which is very competitive for a no annual fee credit card but the card also has some fantastic bonus categories.

The Chase Ink Cash earns 5% cash back on the first $25,000 spent in combined purchases each account anniversary year at:

  • Internet
  • Cable
  • Phone services
  • Office supply stores

And it also earns 2% cash back on the first $25,000 spent in combined purchases each year at:

The Ink Business Unlimited

Ink Business Unlimited

The Ink Business Unlimited earns 1.5% back on all purchases and comes with a 0% intro APR for 12 months from account opening on purchases and balance transfers.

Combining the Chase Call bank mobile vibe customer service Preferred with either the Ink Unlimited or the Ink Cash is always a great option because not only are you diversifying your bonus categories but the latter two cards don’t come with an annual fee, so it’s a great option to add to your wallet without having to cough up a lot more in annual fees.

Chase Southwest Premier Business

  • 6,000 anniversary points
  • Earn 1,500 Tier-Qualifying Points for every $10,000 in purchases, up to 15,000 Tier-Qualifying Points each calendar year
  • Best sign-up bonus: 50,000 Rapid Rewards
  • $99 Annual fee
  • No foreign transaction fees

If you’re at all interested in the Southwest Companion Pass then the Southwest Premier Business card is hard to beat since it can get you over half way to meeting the 125,000 Rapid Rewards required for the Southwest Companion Pass (read more about that pass here).

There are of course other solid Chase business credit cards like the United MileagePlus Explorer Business Card but these are the top four business cards that I would seek out.

2/30 and 1/30 rule

2/30 rule

The first rule you need to know about is the 2/30 rule which generally means that you cannot get approved for more than 2 Chase cards within a 30 day window. There are some exceptions to this rule and people have been approved for more than 3 Chase cards in 30 days in the past but for the most part they are outliers.

1/30 rule

The 1/30 rule is a semi-official guideline that states that you should only expect to be approved for one Chase business credit card within a 30 day period. Again, there are exceptions to this as well but if you’re trying to play it safe I suggest that you follow this.

In fact, if you are really trying to play it safe you should put several months between your applications.

I would probably wait six months between applying for Chase business credit cards just to be on the safe side.

No more than one Chase business card?

Another thing to note is that some people just can’t ever seem to get approved for more than one Chase business credit card. We don’t know why some can get a second approval and others can’t but be aware that you could be a part of that unlucky bunch who does not get approved for two business credit cards.

Also, if you’re thinking about going for three or more business cards the odds may start getting stacked against you even more as you get approved for each successive card.

There are definitely some people who have been approved for 4+ Chase business cards the past, but it’s not something that I would personally count on working most of the time.

Can you get two Ink cards with an EIN and SSN?

A common question is if you can get more than one Chase Ink card if you apply for one card with your SSN and then apply for another using an EIN (plus SSN).

The answer is yes you can.

So for example, you could end up with two Chase Ink Preferred cards with this method.

Chase 5/24 Rule

You need to also be aware of the Chase 5/24 rule.

The Chase 5/24 rule means that if you have opened up five or more credit accounts (i.e, credit cards) in the past 24 months you will be denied for certain Chase cards.

This includes accounts opened up across all banks so you count all of your Chase cards opened up plus all of the accounts opened up with other credit card issuers, such as American Express, Citi, Barclays, etc.

Every Chase card is subject to the rule including the:

  • Chase Sapphire Reserve
  • Chase Sapphire Preferred
  • Chase Freedom Flex
  • Chase Freedom Unlimited
  • Chase Slate
  • Chase Ink Preferred
  • Chase Ink Cash
  • Chase Ink Unlimited
  • Southwest Rapid Rewards Plus Credit Card
  • Southwest Rapid Rewards Premier Credit Card
  • Southwest Rapid Rewards Premier Business Credit Card
  • Southwest Priority Card
  • United MileagePlus Club Card
  • United MileagePlus Club Business Card
  • United MileagePlus Explorer Card
  • United MileagePlus Explorer Business Card
  • Starbucks Rewards Visa Card

You can read more in-depth about this rule here.

How often should you apply for Chase business cards?

I would try to space out my Chase applications so that I don’t risk getting denied for being too hungry for business credit cards.

First, I would not ever apply for two Chase business credit cards at the same time. While Chase does combine inquiries (or more accurately the credit bureaus do), your odds for getting denied are going to go way up by applying for two business cards at the same time (especially with the manual review that can take place now).

Second, I would wait at least 90 days bmo online banking usa Chase credit card applications but more preferably, I’d space them out even further apart (6 months seems like a good minimum time frame). Again, patience is often key when it comes to getting Chase business cards.

Chase business reconsideration

There’s a good chance that you won’t be instantly approved for your Chase business card when you apply, especially if you’re going for their best business credit card the Chase Ink Preferred. Community spiceworks com tools ip lookup you are not instantly approved, don’t sweat it, you’ll just need to wait it out and see what happens with your application.

In the event that you are not approved, then you still have a chance to get a ally financial bill payment by calling into the Chase reconsideration line. This is a phone line where you can plead your case on why you should be approved for the card that you’re applying for.

When you call in for a business card they are likely to ask you a few questions about your business which could include the following questions:

  • What is your business? (name, legal name, type of organization, etc.)
  • Can you describe your industry?
  • What products do you sale, how much, etc.?
  • How old is your business?
  • How long have you been in the trade?
  • What is your job title?
  • Number of employees?
  • Why does your business need this credit card?

If you are applying for your second Chase business card then you need to have a good reason for why you need that card. Is it for a second business or do you need it for your original business? Make sure you have a good reason for why you need that additional business credit card. You can read more about Chase business reconsideration here.

Final word

Chase has some exceptional business cards and it’s possible to get approved for more than one of them. However, you need to be patient and not try to rush going for your second card. You also need to be ready to call recon and explain why you needed the card. If you can do those two things then you stand a good chance of getting approved for a second business card.
