A MESSAGE FROM PASTOR SAM

In light of church members of all ages testing positive for COVID-19 in the recent past, I would appreciate your kind cooperation
(1) by staying at home if you are not feeling well or having symptoms of Coronavirus;
(2) by communicating with the church office right away if you have tested positive after attending worship, a committee meeting, and other programs in the church building the previous week or 3-4 days before.
This will surely help our church to take precautions due to exposure. Thank you for your understanding and help.

first united methodist church live stream

First united methodist church live stream -

We welcome you to First Church

From small groups to virtual meetups, Sunday School to serving our community,
we have several opportunities for people to gather together in community weekly,
encouraging one another closer to a life devoted to Christ.

Give in gratitude for God's blessings...

From the Garden of Eden on, the Bible reveals our role and our purpose. We are stewards. Everything we have comes from God, and He entrusts the things He has made and given to our care.

True Christian stewardship, therefore, is about far more than just giving to the church. It is a wise and godly management of every gift of God for His purposes. Giving is just one part of that. But it is rightly the first part, for the biblical standard is that we offer to God our first and our best.

It is time for the friends and members of First Church to complete our pledge cards for 2022. On the surface, of course, these cards are about our giving. Yet, in the big picture, we recognize that they are really just one part of our larger stewardship.

You can obtain a pledge card from the church, which you may fill out and return. Or you can complete an online pledge form, which will go directly to our Financial Manager. You may also communicate your pledge by phone (920) 437-9252. Whatever we do, let it be done in love!

PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY

A New Ministry is Coming to FUMC Warren

and EVERYONE can be part of it.

EVERYONE will send shawls out with prayer.  EVERYONE can identify those to receive shawls, choose a shawl and deliver it.  EVERYONE can help to provide materials for the creation of prayer shawls.  EVERYONE can use skills they already have or learn some new skills to create shawls.

PRAYER SHAWLS are creations of shawls or lap blankets, by means of knitting, crocheting, sewing, weaving, and so on, to be given to people in need or at special times of celebration.  Often they are given in times of grief or serious illness or other times of loss; the shawls can also be given at times of celebration like adoption, baby birth, significant anniversary, or birthday.

GIVING AND IDENTIFYING GIVERS is EVERYONE’S responsibility.  Individuals may choose a shawl to be given, record the name and need or occasion of giving so that there is ongoing prayer, and deliver the prayer shawl on behalf of the congregation.

LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES AND FELLOWSHIP OF CRAFTERS:  Coming in November, there will be an initial meeting and opportunities to learn crochet or knitting skills for anyone interested in trying something new and participating by creating shawls.

For more information, contact the office at 814-723-4930.

PLEASE BE IN PRAYER FOR THIS MINISTRY AS WE GET STARTED AND FOR OPPORTUNITIES TO PARTICIPATE AND BLESS OTHERS.

Jesus

What do we believe?

At First United Methodist Church in Worthington, Minnesota, we celebrate our belief in how Jesus redeems our brokenness.  Join us each week as we celebrate together God's amaziing grace!

Love the lost.  Help the least.  Proclaim the Gospel.

At First UMC, we love working with others.  We enjoy each other's company,
especially when we are learning more about how to strengthen our relationship with God and Jesus.
